The opus is a concept album that narrates the legend of a pact with the devil and the pursuit of a lost heritage—an epic and dark journey deep into Québec’s snow-covered forests, buried beneath the snows of ages. Musically, while Moribond’s signature for the epic and grandiose remains ever-present, SERMENT ventures into rawer and more symphonic territories compared to FORTERESSE.
